Welcome to The Homer Mill ~ where SPOOKS, SPIRITS and FUN come to life! ~

The Douglas James Band

The story begins some 35 years ago with Elvis and Hank Williams Sr. on the radio. When Douglas James turned 13, his parents gave him a guitar for Christmas. That began a life-long love affair with music and the guitar.

Every band, musician, club owner, and generous fan has contributed to his musical makeup. In 2004, frustrated with the current state of the music scene, he decided to take a chance and form his own band. His philosophy is that performing is about the audience, not the band. "I have seen many bands who focused on technical ability and forgot that there was an audience," Douglas says. "I want to make the audience part of the show." When you see a Douglas James Band show you are seeing something that is unique. Each show is inspired by the audience.

Fortunate to have found great musicians/people to work with, the Douglas James Band looks forward to bringing their show to you. You're invited to come on out and be a part of something great.

Demetrius Nicodemus

To describe Demetrius’s style of comedy would be virtually impossible. Not only does he address current affairs issues, he will also take you on a little tour of his slightly off beat mind. Demetrius draws from every experience in his life, form being bi-racial, his first day in Catholic school, and let us not forget about his years in the Navy.

Demetrius was voted "The Funniest Young Comedian in Ohio", by the Columbus Dispatch.
